2. New Detection: Solar Panels

3. Wildfire Vulnerability Score Approved for Idaho and Tennessee

New Detection: Exposed Deck

Configuration: None User Limitation: None Availability: Immediate

The new Exposed Deck detection is now available in Betterview. If a property has exposed deck on the roof, it will be captured as detection. Note that the Exposed Deck detection impacts the roof condition score.

Upgraded Model: Solar Panels

Configuration: None User Limitation: None Availability: Immediate

An upgraded model for the existing Solar Panel detection is now available in Betterview. If a property has solar panels on the roof, it will be captured as a detection. The Solar Panel detection does not impact the roof condition score. This new model improves the accuracy of Solar Panel detections particularly on large commercial roofs and is now able to distinguish Solar Panels from duct work, HVAC and skylights.

Wildfire Vulnerability Score Approved for

Idaho and Tennessee

Configuration: None User Limitation: None Availability: Immediate

Idaho and Tennessee have approved Wildfire Vulnerability score. If a carrier wants to use the score in their plans in Idaho and/or Tennessee, the carrier does not need to justify that the score is predictive. Carriers can still use the score in states that Betterview isn’t approved for filing, but there may be additional steps to include the score in a filing.
